Not seeing some options that are in online manual

OK maybe I’m just not functioning well this evening, but I just started working using version 5.1.2 and in the online manual it says there’s a netclass editor and it’s under something like Preferences -> General settings -> Design rules or whatever, and I just can’t seem to find it. I’d really like to set up netclasses because on some boards I have a few tracks with currents up to 10 amps but about everything else is signal only. Yes I’ve done this using multiple netlists before with other tools but I think the netclass method at least in theory is much easier to manage. So the question is did it just get buried or has it been obsoleted somehow?? Was the autorouter compatible with it too? Hope it’s still around somewhere!

Cool, thanks, the manual kept referring to “menu” so I wasn’t looking for an icon!

It is also under file-> board setup

To echo your problem I don’t feel you missed it, the online manual (even though it says 5.1.2) still seems very out of date. Many of the sections refer to menu options that now seem to be in different places. The manual still seems to follow the KiCAD 3 version. I started on 5.1 so it’s difficult when the manual isn’t overly accurate. Maybe I am still using the wrong manual?

If this question isn’t rhetorical, you should at least give a link or other pointer to the manual you are actually using now

Point taken. Here is what I am using:
http://docs.kicad.org/5.1.2/en/pcbnew/pcbnew.html#layers

For example most of the setup information refers to a setup menu option but now it is in the board setup option via the icon or file menu.
