No menu bars after update to KiCAD 5.1.10 [SOLVED]

I have just updated from KiCAD 5.0.8 to 5.1.10 on Ubuntu MATE 20.04 LTS and now I’m not able to see the menu bars.

I have even tried to uninstall and reinstall it with no luck.

Trying to press Alt, Ctrl,… does nothing but when I’ve tried Alt+F, etc. I may see the menu options (without the menu header) and using the arrow keys I’m able to navigate to the next menu but all the menu options are always shown in the top-left corner of the screen.

You maybe dealing with a MATE bug, give a try to this from a terminal window:

mate-panel --reset

you may lose your panels’ settings but the menu bars may reappear.
