I’m new to KiCAD and PCB design in general. I created a 4PDT switch symbol for schematics. Now I would like to create a footprint that matches the dimensions of my chosen through hole switch. I’ve been searching for awhile and have not found a way to do this. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
Therr is a tutorial in the faq Tutorial: How to make a footprint in KiCad 5.1.x (From scratch)?

Please invest your time into learning how to draft symbols and footprints. If you do not have those skills you are similar to a person who wants to be a sailor but does not know the fundamentals of map-and-compass navigation. I estimate that I have designed somewhere between 50 and 100 boards over the last 15 years, and each one required between 10% and 80% of the total effort in “library work” on symbols and footprints.
