Nasty language problem

I have noticed a nasty language problem never seen before; I’m still investigating on the cause that trigger this problem, but I haven’t found it yet.

My Windows is Italian and I have set the language in KiCad to Default. So far, so good, the interface is in Italian.

I’m working on a project (any) with the main KiCad program, Eeschema and PcbNew opened; suddenly I realize that the KiCad interface is in English instead of Default (Italian). With my surprise going to “Preferences | Set language” I see that the checkmark points to Italian instead of Default, but the interface is in English. To add something more, trying to change the language to any other one has the only effect to move the checkmark, but the interface remains in English.

Before opening an issue on bugtracker, I’d like to know if it is something known, and I still have to discover the cause that triggers this defect.

install latest KiCad version to check if the problem is still there.

have just updated to 7.0.5 and I will see if the problem will happen again. As I have written, I still have to discover the reason.

Try disabling plugins, as they might break locale.

I was wondering if a plugin might prevent the language change itself after the problem has occurred and always remain to English.
