Multiple Vias On Track - Turn off "helpful" track replacement

Hi,

I have a high current track as shown in the picture and wish to use mutiple vias to switch layer. Unfortunately when I try to do this pcbnew always replaces the track so only the last via is actually doing the current transfer.

It’s trying to be helpful, but it isn’t.

You can turn off the “Auto-delete” in your General Settings. You can also edit the track that you want to keep and lock it. This should prevent it being deleted.

Ah only in default is there a “lock”… and it doesn’t work. When I laid the track over the top it deleted all the vias.

Unsure which “auto-delete” you’re referring to in General. I can’t see it.

The checkmark in General Settings is called “Delete unconnected tracks” (it controls the same button as Rene shows).

I’m toggling that, it still does it!
