My understanding was that 7.0 was supposed to allow multiple projects open simultaneously, but I don’t see any way of doing this.
FWIW, I’m on MacOS.
You can open multiple instances of KiCad and load separate projects into them. Opening multiple projects in the same kicad process is still not supported.
Edit: at least on windows. I’m not sure how are things on mac.

Well, that’s not what was promised…
Nobody promised this will be in 7.0. That’s just in the plans and things are moving in that direction, albeit slowly.
Ah.
