Multipart component, position of the label and reference

First of all, Hi, this is my first post! I’m using Kicad from a long time and i’m very pleased with the evolution of this great software along time.

I’ve created a “Beagle Bone Black” component with multiple units.

  • The Unit A is the P8 connector
  • The Unit B is the P9 connector
  • The Unit C is the 4 pin battery connector

The problem is with the references and values between units A-B and C.
As the place of the value and reference is shared between all the units, and the Unit C is much more smaller that the other two is impossible to put the reference and label in a place that fits at the same time to Units A-B and C.

I hope my poor English is enough to make myself clear.

PS: I love Kicad!!

All of fields of each unit could be re-positioned (also automatically) on schematic. So, don’t worry about.
As I remember this will be changed in future edition of Eeschema. Code will be rewritten due to new file format.

Thanks keruseykaryu!! Yes I’ve moved the fields in schematic.
I was just wondering if there is a way to do that in the library editor.
