I’m planning on CNC-ing my own single sided THT board(s).
Out of ignorance, I designed my first PCB with all the tracks on F.Cu and subsequently realised they really should be on B.Cu
I’ve tried to cut/paste the tracks, pads and zones from the front to the back, but I then need to place them (as a whole) manually, and they’re not perfectly aligned with F.Silkscreen, F.Fab, F.Courtyard etc, which I’m leaving on the front.
Is there a right way to move tracks from one layer to another?
The simplest is to select a single segment, then depress u to extend the selecton.
You can also set the Selection Filter in the lower right corner to select only tracks, and then drag some boxes, combined with modifier keys. (Note: u also works on a selection).
If you have a selection that only contains track segments, then you can simply use e to edit their properties and select another layer. You can also use PCB Editor / View / Show Properties Manager and set the layer from there.
