Hi, how can I copy block of schematic to another sheet without destroying layout ? Every element loose its reference. Kicad version 5.1.6.
Question is, if that’s possible at all. I do restore lost references manually (but usually my goal is to proceed with the project). If it’s not possible with current builds, it could make a nice feature request as it’s not uncommon to copy/paste parts of the schematic and keep existing references for layout compatibility.
AFAIK in v5 it’s possible only by using a text editor. I have done that.
In the future in v6 – now in 5.99 – it should be possible to keep annotation by using “Paste Special”.
