Mode footprint/track problem

Hi,

i use kicad 4.0.4 recently and i have a problem.

when i click on the button “mode footprint” the button is highlighted but when i did a right click on the work area
the menu is the same as when the mode footprint in not activate.
so i have no access to the “global spread and place” menu.

And it’s the same with the button “Mode track”, the right click menu is the same again.
so i cant use the auto track.

and i have try to switch the canvas to open GL => nothing different

is it a bug or i have forgot anything ?
