Missing screw terminal footprints

I am using kicad 6 on windows10

I have a Screw_Terminal_01x06 in my schematic.

When I try to assign a footprint screw terminals do no show in the library.

How do I find the footprint?

Any help is appreciated.

Gary

There are many many types of terminal blocks on the market, you have to be more specific and know the name. If it’s not in the KiCad library, you have to search for the footprint, perhaps from manufacturer.

Below is one from the library called Altech_AK300_1x06_P5.00mm_45-Degree. Many of the others don’t have 3D models, this one does.

Screw terminals are called “connectors” in the libraries, as are plug/sockets from your last post.

You will probably need to have the physical connector to measure or the data sheet of a connector you are certain you can source to be able to assign a footprint from the library.

When you have that information you will need to check through Kicad libraries to find a suitable footprint, or, you could create your own footprint.
