Measurements in KiCad 9.0

Hello,
I am using KiCAD 9.0 on Windows 10

I am having difficulty creating a new symbol for a control switch.
Specifically, I can’t figure out how to size rectangles in the editor. For example if I want a rectangle that is 200mm x 100mm. The only measurements I see are MILS and origins. In the Schematic design screen, I can see X and Y distances which would be fine if they were also in the editor, but they are not as far as I can see.

So how would I create rectangle of a specific desired size in the library editor?
Thanks much. I’m sure this is very easy and my oversight.

To get mm

To size your rectangle, draw it an adjust it’s properties.

But 200mm x 100mm is huge, the schematic is symbolic not actual.

Why on earth would anybody make a symbol of that size ? and why would a ‘SYMBOL’ need to have specific dimensions. You say for a “Control Switch” but a symbol is just a representation can’t you use ‘logic gates’ to represent what you need ? I may have missed the point here but it is an odd request based on what we know.

Some users use KiCad for non ECad uses . . .
