Measure and set filled areas

I have to create a filled zone with a precise area, is there a way to set it in advance or simply measure related surface sqmm ?

AFAIK there is no way to set it in advance.

However, when you select the zone, the area can be seen in the status bar

[EDIT] Note that, when changing the zone’s shape, the area is updated only after a zone fill (‘B’).
