Math operations and variables in custom design rules

In short: if subj. was possible would anyone use it?

I imagine setting up a set of design rules to be used in all my projects and only having to adjust a few variables per project.

Within that context I can also imagine how enabling string replacement variables in the custom design rules could make things a bit more versatile.
