I’m using version 9.0.1 now and I still can’t easily switch between free angled and rounded routing while manually routing. To enable free angled routing I have to go into options with the right mouse button, there’s no such shortcut on the keyboard as for others. Is there something I don’t know?
you probably mean something different than this? Because this is done with Shift+Space
Unfortunately not - I need a fourth option - routing the path at any angle and it is hidden in the routing settings but there is no shift+space shortcut for it.
ah, I get it. Maybe there is an assignable hotkey in the hotkey settings?
Is “Cycle Router Mode” hotkey what you need? This rotates Highlight Collisions, Shove and Walk Around.
I don’t think so - it’s not about avoiding, it’s about driving at any angle.
The “Shove” and “Walk Around” only allow you to draw at 45 & 90 degrees. Highlight Collisions allows any angle drawing as an option. By assigning a hotkey to “Cycle Router Mode” you can change the mode without entering the Options, so you can go from curved (Ctrl + /) in either Shove or Walk Around to Straight with Highlight Collisions.
…but only optionally, not by default.
Yes, thanks. I should have mentioned this for others reading. I’ve made a suitable edit.
Any explanation why “free angle mode” was buried in the options? That’s the basics - any angle, right angle and rounding. Why mess with the settings like that??
