Just putting this out there to see if anyone out there has done a proper set of symbols for the xx1488 / xx1489 line driver ICs (these were once quite common for converting from TTL to RS-232 and back).
All I have right now is a generic ‘box’ symbol… I’m all thumbs when it comes to drawing logic gates or multi-section ICs.
Based on the datasheets:
You should be able to exercise your thumbs by hacking the 74HC logic gates for your purpose.
Yep, 5-minute job.
Find a symbol that looks useful, modify it and save it in your personal library.
Creating your own symbols is a skill that is absolute;ly essential in PCB work.
