Locking pieces together

I have an outline of a I2C 16x2 LCD, then I painstakingly placed a hole for the contrast pot. How can I lock the contrast hole to the LCD so when I move the LCD, the hole moves too?

It is called Grouping in Kicad.

Use mouse to create a rectangular selection or hold Ctrl key down and use Left mouse click to highlight the footprints to be selected.
Right Mouse click and select Group (about three functions below Lock). :slightly_smiling_face:

There are a number of ways to do this, which are low on the painstaking level :slightly_smiling_face:.

Bottom middle of screen is dy/dx. Place mouse somewhere, press space bar, move mouse and watch dy/dx.
Sometimes switching to polar from cartesian can be helpful
Just above Locking and Grouping tools, there are Positioning Tools, four different ones. Well worth exploring. :slightly_smiling_face:

Another option is to put the hole in the footprint itself.
