V8 and 9 if you turn off all nets, and then hit local ratsnest on an item, nothing happens.
Expected behaviour would be that the ratsnest for that item turns on.
Is there some setting I’m missing or is it a bug?
I can only assume by the lack of response that it’s a bug.
Or that nobody understands what you mean in your first post . . .
Open pcb
Turn off all nets
Click local ratsnest
Click footprint
Nothing happens.
Works for me:
PCB, track to R4001 Pin1 has been deleted for this purpose, you see, rats nets are off, nothing shown
Clicked on local ratsnest (had to google that, never used), then on R4001: missing connection shown as ratsnest
Works for me in 9.0.0 (with your project).

If I turn off all nets and click local ratsnest on a unit nothing happens.
I think it’s a little flaky. I had to select and deselect the component and then click the local rats nest tool on it to get it to work the first time, but after that it seemed pretty consistent.

Then on second part:
As soon as I click in the space between the parts, (select nothing), the nets hide again.
Maybe your pc is just a little laggy? It’s around 1800nets, so maybe it just takes some time?
