[linux] Problem loading github footprint libraries: "Reason: wrong ssl version" - [SOLVED]

Hello everyone,

I’m having this problem as well, since last Friday (march 11th) and I
could not figure out what could be happening, I have tried all these
possibilities: Github footprints problem with no success.

It seems it does not connect to github to load libraries.
“Reason: wrong ssl version”

Maybe it is somewhat related to a sudo apt-get update, which may have updated openssl.
I haven’t found a way to fix it yet.

Any suggestion?

Thank you guys

KiCad version 4.0.2 - Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

Problem solved.

We had some firewall issues which was blocking the connection.
