The opacity control seems to have broke going to version 6. A buddy of mine has the same result. I believe it worked in my last 5.xxx version, but not in 6.0.0.
Any suggestions? Is this a new bug? I was surprised to NOT find any other postings about this.
Thanks
Dan
Seems to work fine for me. How are you changing the opacity / what opacity control are you using?
I could play around with different opacities here:
A few things to keep in mind:
- The object tab of the appearance manager has opacity sliders for tracks, vias, pads, and zones. These apply to the respective objects regardless of layer
- Each layer can have its color changed (including opacity) by double clicking on the color swatch in the layers tab of the appearance manager, but you need to change to a custom theme first because the default theme is read only.
- The displayed opacity of e.g. a zone is the combination of the opacity for the layer and the opacity of all zones (Iām guessing the two opacity values are multiplied). So if layer 2 is set to 100% opacity, but zones are set to 70% opacity, the a zone on layer 2 will be 70% opaque.

Thanks the theme seems to have fixed it. I added a new theme, gave it a new name, and now it works. Appreciate that!
