Layer description or stack-up information in PCB editors layer list

Hi,

I’m currently creating an 8 layer PCB with the following stack-up:

I would like to see the layer usage in the layer list, like this:

image

The only way I know right now, is changing the layer names. But then also the Gerber files have this name.

Does anybody know other ways to do this or do I have to create a feature request?
