bin noch Recht neu bei KICAD und habe eine Frage zum Layout.
Ich möchte meine Platine in ein Weißblechgehäuse einlöten.
Deshalb benötige ich an allen 4 Seiten eine Kupferfläche ohne Lötstop.
Ich habe mit F-Mask und B-Mask ein Polygon gezeichnet. Siehe Bild.
Meine Frage, ist das richtig oder falsch ? Nicht, dass ich die Patine in die Fertigung schicke und es ist falsch.

Das sieht soweit okay aus. Ob der Rand ausreichend dick ist, kann ich natürlich nicht beurteilen, aber ein Polygon auf F.Mask und B.Mask zu malen ist von der Vorgehensweise soweit korrekt.
(OP wants to leave a rim around his PCB mask free for soldering to a metal case and asks, if it is okay to use polygons on F-Mask and B-Mask. I answered that that method is okay in principle to remove solder mask, but I can’t know if the rim is thick enough and so on)
