Kubuntu 20.04 nightly 7.99 cannot be updated

After sudo apt-get update (or apt update or reload with synaptic) the nightly version available is not the last one, but 202306121603 for Ubuntu/Kubuntu 20.04 focal.

The last nightly version is yesterday’s at launchpad.

Anyone can help? Please, do not tell me to upgrade Kubuntu, I cannot do it yet.

Thank you.
Pedro.

This was in my update tray and I installed it a little while ago, so it exists for Ubuntu.

Thanks, Janek

Your version is 22.04 while mine is 20.04.

I am having the same issue on Mint 20.3. KiCad-nightly won’t update (also stuck on 2023-06-12T16:03).
The 3D models and libraries for KiCad-Nightly do update, so I guess something broke back in June.

Looks like the build has been failing for a while on 20.04

https://launchpad.net/~kicad/+archive/ubuntu/kicad-dev-nightly/+build/27066512

Probably worth opening a bug so devs are aware.

Latest here:
https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/kicad/kicad-dev-nightly/ubuntu/pool/main/k/kicad/

is
kicad-nightly_202306121603+a3754785df~172~ubuntu20.04.1_amd64.deb

Thank you, @gmc , @gmc

Maybe support for 20.04 will/has finally ended with Kicad 8 and its development package 7.99?

Just a wild guess.

https://www.kicad.org/help/system-requirements/

If you go to the package details page and filter for focal, you can see there is a build problem:

https://launchpad.net/~kicad/+archive/ubuntu/kicad-dev-nightly/+packages?field.name_filter=&field.status_filter=published&field.series_filter=focal

The QA tests started requiring Python 3.9 and 20.04 only has 3.8, so currently it can’t be build for 20.04

If someone with a 20.04 system wants to develop a fix and submit it, we would accept it, but I don’t think any of the devs use 20.04 anymore.
