I installed KiCAD v6 via flatpak to use (while transitioning) parallel to the v5 installation. Problem is: everytime I try to open a schematic or board KiCAD crashes without an error message. It does not matter, if it is an existing v5 project or a newly created one. Opening projects works fine, though, it only crashes while opening a board or schematc. Any ideas how to fix this?
I’m running flatpak 1.12.6 on a Xubuntu system.
flatpak run --env=MESA_LOADER_DRIVER_OVERRIDE=i965 org.kicad.KiCad
solves the issue.
