Okay, I download the KiCad code and have the dmg file. It then tells me to drag two directories one to Applications and one to Applications support.
I have no Application Support directory.
Mac 10.12.6
Presuming you put the one in
/Application
Try looking in (it may be a hidden directory)
/Library

Okay, I found Application Support under Library. Not sure how I drag to it. Will have to experiment.
Okay installed okay. Just tried importing an Eagle Project. First impressions is Awesome !!!
