I designed an 868 MHz antenna on KiCad. I want to simulate it using CST Studio Suite. I exported it as .gerber and .dxf files. I tried two of these formats, but could not simulate them. Has anyone tried simulating on CST Studio?
do you have a license for Gerber import?
Wikipedia has a list of around 10 FOSS projects, and some are designed for antenna design:
OpenEMS is a name I’ve heard several times on this forum. It’s not mentioned in the Wikipedia list, as that only lists names which have their own Wikipedia article.
So I assume there are more of these, but it’s not an area I’m familiar with.

If you only have Gerber files, it is not possible to start modeling right away because they do not contain all the necessary information. This applies to all simulators. And here there are two options: either you write all the necessary data manually or export it in a format where this data is available.
