I’ve been using it since v.5 and must add, version 8, though initially jarring to get use to, has me genuinely exited about version 9, version 10, etc… Never before been excited about a piece of software!

I would also like to express the same sentiment, with my donations naturally.
Considering the abysmal state of 3D modeling open source projects, it just makes you appreciate and understand how important this project is. We electrical engineers are truly fortunate to have it.
At work i have to use altium so when i compare it with kicad, there are few missing features but mostly we are there. Amazingly altium updates for me at least, just make software run slower, that’s the only noticeable change. every new release of kicad is improving by leaps.
