KICAD_SCRIPTING_PYTHON3=OFF on Windows for 5.1.9-1.9

It seems that the official binary of Kicad does not support python (although there is a Python executable in the bin folder). Did I miss something (it seems to be an old problem) ? Is there still no hope to get one ?
Alternatively, if python is no more supported on Windows, this should be a big warning in the release notes.

in Windows it doesn’t support python v3 but it does support python v2, there is a problem with the graphic library and it is being worked out for v6.

I installed Kicad on WSL2 and uses VcXsrv on windows, this allows me to access Python3 (I still do normal work on the Windows side). I have not yet tested it extensively, my purpose is just to try to generate some layout for a connection matrix.
My projects are on Git, so it is not too bad to synchronize them for my limited purpose.
