It seems all of the generic RGB led footprints have a annular ring size of 0.0805mm which is below the default value and the min Val of the manufacture I’m using, do I need to go adjust the pad and hole sizes to correct this or can I ignore it? I assume I need to fix this but I don’t understand why it would be there in the first place if it doesn’t meet the default requirements.
Here is the errors for anyone curious, happens to every single pad and via, this is after changing all the settings to the manufacture mins.
I found the problem, the generic RGB LED 5mm that comes with KiCad has annular rings that are teeny tiny and you should rather use one off ultra librarian if you come across the same issue.
OR: change your board setup constraints or draw your own footprint or modify the existing Kicad footprint.
I would choose/make a different footprint anyway because those 4 in-line pads at 1.27 mm spacing will be hell if you are handsoldering. Maybe stagger the pads and increase the pad size. Though that will mean you can’t have the LED flush on the board.
I made the pads oval (oblong)
