I am fairly educated in computer programming,
although by no means IT status.
My forte is being able to operate Microsoft Windows
and the programs I use with it as efficiently as possible.
When I began using KiCad along with other CAD programs
I found it to be extremely powerful and compatible.

There is always the potential for some operational
malfunction on my part and I find that providing a
program activity report along with a request for assistance
can vastly speed the arrival of a solution.

Although this info is probably in a thread somewhere I
thought it helpful to refresh same:

In KiCAd (v8.0.3) this can be achieved by going to
Preferences → Data Collection
and if check box is unmarked ‘check it’ to allow:

“I agree to provide anonymous reports”
