I just saw a quick (90 second) call out and demonstration of KiCad in a PCBWay advertisement on a video by @LostInTech3D. Most of the “negative” comments seem to be from the point of view of someone who isn’t familiar with the jargon of EDA (not knowing what parts are commonly called, confusion over “wire” vs “net” and “traces” vs “tracks”, etc.).
I just thought it was interesting to see some free advertising.
