I recently installed Kicad nightly, it’s got a few updates and today I’ve tried running it first time. I get a complaint that this file is missing (no such file or directory):
/usr/share/kicad-nightly/resources/images.tar.gz
resulting in no icons being displayed anywhere, everything is a ?
I use Ubuntu 20.10 Groovy release with
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kicad/kicad-dev-nightly/ubuntu/ groovy main
I don’t recall now every command I did to install kicad-nightly.
I did, and do have kicad 5.1.9 installed previously, udpdated from 5.1.8 and older versions before that.
sudo apt install kicad-nightly kicad-nightly-demos kicad-nightly-libraries kicad-nightly-packages3d kicad-nightly-symbols kicad-nightly-templates
