Kicad_mod files not detected

Hi! So I’ve recently installed Kicad version 6. I downloaded a footprint from snapeda and chose v6 compatibility. Now, the problem is Kicad cannot detect any kicad_mod file.

This is the file I downloaded which contains:
AMPHENOL_DILB14P-223TLF.kicad_mod
DILB14P-223TLF.lib
DILB14P-223TLF.step
how-to-import.htm
License.txt

This is what appears when I try to import the folder or kicad_mod file. Basically empty:

This is what the downloaded footprint file contains:

Just to clarify Eelik’s post:

Any created, modified or 3rd. party imported (which is your case), symbols, footprints and 3D images must first be placed in Kicad personal libraries before they can be accessed for use.
