KiCad is very much hanging

Hello Team,

I am using KiCad 6.0.4 but it is hanging to much and some time it automatically close down and some time it ask wait or force quite when we are pressing the icon of wait it take too much time to respond.

In our project we have used the processors, DDR4, PMIC and Approx 1200 components so will it support. or there is any requirement we can import this much components only.

In our system specification is,

Processor: Intel® Core™ i5 CPU 660 @ 3.33GHz × 4
Memory: 7.6 GiB
Operating System: Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS

In our Software specification is,

Application: KiCad

Version: 6.0.4-6f826c9f35~116~ubuntu20.04.1, release build

Libraries:
wxWidgets 3.0.4

KiCad has no component, layer number or any such limitations. Its full features are always free and ready to use. There are lots of projects done in kicad with even more complexity than what you describe.

If you experience lag and slowness first make sure that you use accelerated graphics (check preferences). If accelerated graphics cause issues then it might be your video drivers. Intel integrated graphics are known to have buggy software support on linux.
