KiCad appears in a strange mode

Hi

my 2 year old son pressed something and now KiCad appears a a strange mode

also I notice that this mode need much performance because everything needs longer to load.

what is this? how can I switch that back?

He may have switched you to Legacy mode. Try pressing F11

this is wierd, when I press F11 nothing visual happens… but it feels like everything speeds up to the performance I had before this mode.

Then i suspect you where in fallback mode. (Same toolset = same look and feel but without hardware acceleration.)

The toolset can be switched directly in the preferences menu. Or with F9 -> legacy, F11 -> modern accelerated or F12 -> modern fallback.
