Kicad 9, can't open a schematic to copy something from it

I am using debian, kicad 9 seems to not have any way of opening a old project while mantaining open the one I am working with,… this looks a huge missfeature
I tried opeining both or opening from eeschema the old schema, it doesn’t even have a option inside “File”
Neither I can import a non-kicad file, as it will close the window I am working with

Did you try to just run another instance of KiCad?

You are writing about something that worked for you with V8 and now doesn’t work?
I didn’t moved to V9 yet.
