KiCad 9 and Freerouting

I’ve been retired and decided to work on my circuit board. After creating the schematic and exporting it to the PCB layout. I found that all the power pins on the IC were already connected to the VDD plane. Normally, I connect the decoupling capacitors to VDD and then add a trace to the power pin of the IC.
Are there any suggestions other than placing the “X” (no connect) on that pin and then adding the trace between the two? (Hint: I am trying freerouting, and I guess I add the trace manually before exporting)?
Thanks

No, using NC won’t work, it will prevent the track from connecting to the pin. What’s your objection to connecting the power pin via the copper pour rather than a track? It’s all the same net. Rather you should be positioning the decoupling capacitor close to the pin, whether track or pour.
