I see frequent crashes on some actions in the PCB editor in KiCad 9.0.0
The editor crashed when I copied a blind via and repeatedly pasted it. This happened somewhat consistently after the 3rd paste operation.
Now the editor always crashes when I try to update the PCB from the schematic. I have just copy-and-pasted 2 components in my schematic (and wired them up) and now wanted to update the PCB with them, but it always crashes. The PCB is nearly complete, so I already worked a lot on it and had no problems with updating before.
If the project isnāt confidential, please reduce it to some reasonable minimum to show the bug and zip and attach it here. If thatās not possible, can you create a test project to repeat this?
Unfortunately the project is confidential. I will try to create a test project, but I fear it will not be easy to reproduce the issue. In the meantime I just moved one component in the PCB, saved it and then tried the update again. It worked with no crash anymore; and since then also some more updates worked fine.
Also the issue with multiple paste operation of a copied via disappeared, when I copied a bunch of vias (all go to GND) and then moved them to their target location. Up to now I didnāt face any crashes anymore from pasting vias.
I know this is all strange. Letās see, if I can create a test project that shows the issuesā¦
Can you paste your version info here please, you can get it from KiCad > Help > About KiCad > Copy Version Info
we will know what OS you are running then.
If you are running Windows and have Anonymous Crash reporting enabled the Dev team will have some useful data . . .
Hereās my version info. Iām sorry, I hadnāt enabled the reporting. I did it now, in case it happens again.
Thanks!

There have been around 250 bug fixes since 9.0.0 in āTestingā and I remember a via related patch, so try this. I hope a 9.0.1 will be announced very soon.
Same issue here.
Every time I press the properties shortcut key E
, the Kicad will exit.
Or opening the properties menu right-click, close the properties dialog box or click OK, the application will also exit
I thought Kicad not crash, itās just exit.
It sounds like this is consistent issue, so start by trying the testing builds (v9.0.1rc2 first) and then if that doesnāt fix the issue, please report a bug on Gitlab with an example project and instructions. from in KiCad, you can go Help > Report a Bug to fill in *part of the template automatically.
FWIW The version info is filled in automatically. Everything else like description and steps to reproduce have to be supplied manually or the bot will act up.
I tested 9.0.1 on two laptop. one is OK, another one got issue
The good one graphics card is RTX4070, and the issued one is MX450
