Kicad 8 in debian bookworm, part selection issue

Hi, i moved to debian on my PC. I installed Kicad 8 using backports, so i opened eeschema to see if everything was working correctly, when adding a part i’m greeted with this

what should i be doing?

Try changing the GTK theme.

Hi, thanks for replying. Do you mean inside kicad? or the OS theme? I use KDE Plasma as DE, not sure if it helps.

EDIT: so on system settings → global theme → configure GNOME/GTK style
I have the issue if i select Breeze (which matches the KDE theme)
I don’t have the issue if i select “Default”

EDIT2: Bizarre enough, change back to Breeze, now i have no issue there as well.

You may « add » a list into the list of components in Preferences - Paths
