Hi
I did update 7.0 → 8.0.4
but there is no mm grid value
I wnat 0.05mm grid
You can add a native metric grid manually.
The reason for not being in the defaults is due to the supplied symbol pins all being on a 1.27/2.54 mm grid and KiCad giving net problems if wires do not connect to pins
How can i add metric grid?
Preferences - Schematic Editor - Grids - “+” sign to get Grid Settings and add your choice
Yes it’s possible (probably)
No. just don’t do it in the schematic editor.
Edit:
A bit extreme maybe, you can use whatever grid you like, but do make sure that all schematic symbols that have wires connected to them are placed on a 50mil or similar grid.
I am suspecting that the OP wants to do something other than drawing a schematic for a pcb.
I was going to ask why you think you need this grid size and to check that you are aware that symbols may not connect as you expect?
Symbol need 0.1 mm grid so I can’t connect some pin of symbol to other symbol
In my opinion it is simple wrong symbol and the best is to avoid its using.
In this case, modify the symbol itself so it’s pins are on an 1.27mm ( = 100mil) grid and conforms to KLC chapter 4.1. If you change the grid, you will get into trouble for all the other symbols.
