Well, I downloaded everything, I think, and I don’t have an icon anywhere on my DE to launch the program.
I don’t know what to do at the moment.

Also, got a nice Ubuntu Mate Internal Error while trying to just browse location: /usr/share/kicad-nightly
Oh this V6 release is going to be a ton of fun!
I use the locate utility. It has to be installed and initialized. sudo updatedb After that you can search with ‘locate bin/kicad’.
In the terminal:
kicad-nightly
Don’t mind those gtk messages, they happen with any wxwidgets app.

I’ve complained once of those gtk messages, and was told that they’re unimportant.
Up until recently KiCad-nightly was also added to the “start menu” (Linux Mint Menu in my case) but yesterday it disapeared.
This has also already been reported (at least twice) and a fix already commited:
I did not see the fix in the latest nightly, maybe tomorrow.

Well, I wanna know if it disappeared from the breakfast and dinner bar as well.
Might give us some indication of how many beers were consumed before the infraction…
