Indeed, 5.1 version cannot open my projects done with 5.99.I can’t understand the choice to not store all buils inlcuding the pre-release.
5.99 and 6.99 are not prelease. They are random test copies.
Why expect others to keep random builds when you can build it for yourself?
True, but the suggestion for an old 5.x.x was to allow the user to run Kicad on windows 7.
