Hi there,
When generating Gerber Data out of fabrication outputs it’s possible to set a relative path.
But not inside the jobset dialogue:
Anybody knows why and if there’s a workaround?
Regards,
Hannes

It looks like a bug, but I don’t have V9 yet and can’t test it.
What happens if you create the directory manually? Does KiCad then place the output files in it?
Yes, when I select the absolute path via the respective menu, no problem.
But I want to set up a jobset template for our company and therefore it needs to be a relative path.
It’s always a good idea to inform the reader about the used kicad version.
There were some bugs regarding relative path in v9.0.0 (maybe also v9.0.1). All of these known bugs are (regarding relative path) are solved in v9.0.2. Which version do you have installed?
Hi, thanks for the update. I have 9.0.2
Unlike in the Gerber dialogue, in the jobset one I don’t get a clickable information if I want to use relative paths.
just retestet, jobsets relative path is working.
Make sure at your first tests:
example project:
merge_polygone_01.zip (966.2 KB)
Copy to your local harddrive and examine the jobset settings. A result of a first jobset run is stored inside the project directory.
I didn’t know about those restrictions and so I just tried with 9.0.2 and it doesn’t seem to choke on any of that (at least here, I’m not implying it never does).

I attempted to create an SVG from a schematic. The full path to the SVG is:

Apologies for trying.
Nice. Is there some encrypted message in these path- / filenames?
now you left me with the uncontrollable need of knowing what is the project name…
No problem, here you go:
/tmp/tmp.JuxwILVsEw/foobar/RFIE4RYNBINAUAAAAAGUSSCEKIAAAAAHAAAAABYIAAAAAAHBHEEA6AAAABBUSRCBKQEB2AJYADD76AEQQRWJDCTLRMANJQ5I3KXXFFAA3XQ5LPTJKW3ABZHZ36CEKWWWADRO7YNKKJL5OAG42DBN3EK22MAMRNMM2C6HXQLWRMQJARWPDNDQAAAAABEUKTSEVZBGBAQ=/foobar.png
Thank you for looking into it so deeply.
My fault was, that I put a forward slash in front of the path
