JLCPCB plugin no longer does what it used to do

I recently updated mr Bouni’s marvelous JLCPCB plugin, because I had a freezing bug on my work PC. (which was most likely network related). I ofcourse raised an issue on github a few days ago

But now it does not work well anymore. And I was so dumb to to ‘update’ the plugin at my good working PC which now shares the fate.

What I have done so far was adding a field in the schematic. I do not know anymore where I found this. This ‘method’ is not present on the github page afaik. But this has always worked flawlessly

Than I open the board, smack the F8 key to update and I open the plugin. Every symbol with a “JLCPCB Part#” number had that number listed in the plugin. But since the update it is blank and I have to ‘manually’ copy past numbers. Effectively meaning I cannot order any new PCB untill this is resolved.

I ofcourse tried an older version of the plugin of which I thought was the working one but no luck.

Does anybody happen to know if something has changed in how the plugin is supposed to work? I think it is strange that I cannot find that part about that extra symbol property entry…

Regards,

Bas

You should be able to downgrade by selecting earlier working version and clicking update in the plugin manager. Bouni’s repo has all the previous versions.

managed to find that still works.

Which one or how ? …

Indeed.
There are a lot of people searching forums for solutions to their own problems, and I applaud them all for putting in that effort without bothering other people, but it is discouraging for them to read a post with “I found a solution” without disclosing that solution.

Mr Bouni picked up the issue this morning (amserdam time), found the cause and appears to have corrected the issue (or is about to). I have not yet tested it myself.

Time to buy that guy a cup of coffee
