Issue importing Eagle CAD files

Hi All,

I am new to KiCad. I have an older laptop running Windows 10 that I’ll be using for my KiCad design work and I have version 5.1.10. When I go to the import project/eagle CAD option and load a .brd file I get the following:

“Could not use OpenGL, falling back to software rendering”

I click on OK then I get:

“Error loading schematic C:\Users\Ds\Downloads\Adafruit Feather M4 Express.sch.
Unable to read file C:\Users\Ds\Downloads\Adafruit Feather M4 Express.sch”

I click on Ok and I get:

“Error loading board file:
C:\Users\Ds\Downloads\Adafruit Feather M4 Express.brd”

I click OK and get:

“XML parsing error: ’ not well-formed (invalid token)’ at line 15”

This is for a file that I know should work as I saw the Contextual Electronics youtube video where he’s loading the same file.

Does anyone know what I may need to try and change in settings, etc. or do I have to old of a laprop for this?
