Is it possible to open two kicad projects on one system?

Whenever I try to open another .pro file, I get the dialog box saying that a kicad project is already running, and if I proceed, it closes the previous project and starts the newly selected one.

Is it possible to open two kicad projects on one system at the same time?

Yes, you can just open another KiCad instance from the Start Menu or whatever. Then open the other project from the project manager of KiCad.
