I downloaded a schematic and layout symbol of a component fr KiCAD from SamacSys. Ho do I add this component in KiCAD so that I can use it for schematic and layout creation?

Move the files into the folder(s) where you keep your custom libraries. Then identify them to KiCAD using the appropriate tools: “Preferences” > “Component Libraries” in EESchema, and “Preferences” > “Footprint Libraries Wizard” in PCBNew.

I suspect that a request for “Volume 2” of the book is pending. That’s when we find out how much initiative Arvind has for finding a solution to his problems.
The answer really should be in the form, “Read Chapter xx of the tutorial.” But KiCAD’s library system is enigmatic at best, and the subject of recent changes, and undergoing additional changes. Consequently the documentation has not kept up with it and references to manuals and tutorials are likely to increase, rather than decrease, confusion.
