Insert a logo in the title block

I have to insert a logo in the title block, both in the diagram and in the PCB, but I can not remember how I did it! I created different PCBs from different schemes, and in the squaring of the design there is this logo, but I can not remember the steps: I have the original JPG logo and I also tried to use the BITMAP converter but then I do not know how to import it into the final design . Does anyone know how to do it? Maybe with detailed steps, thanks

4.0.2 this is my version

OK. Kinda old. You have to import the image into a library and then you can use it. If you search ‘logo’ when adding a part you will see images to add. I haven’t pulled an image in for a while so I forget the exact steps though. Just import it into a personal library since you probably won’t have permissions to add it to the system libraries. Even if you do, it will get lost during updates.

Thanks, but this is just what I did: I imported the image in my personal IMPRINT library but I can not find it anymore, there are all the others except this one

To add an image to the title block, you need to use the page layout editor, than “add bitmap”.

I guess I shouldn’t have deleted my first post. It shows that you can export it as a .lib file? Open the new .lib file and copy and paste the contents into the IMPRINT library. Easier than doing it through the GUI. Well, easier than me trying to type the steps.

The problem is also that I do not know where is my IMPRONTE library, I created it from Kicad but I can not find it on my computer …

That’s OK. Bobc’s advice works too. On my version go to the opening screen and choose tools. Page layout editor is at the bottom on mine. It will let you insert the graphic from there.

With the page layout editor I do not insert images, but only text: or am I wrong?

As I said, use Add bitmap in the page layout editor.

But where does KICAD libraries save? How can I find a bookcase that I had created some time ago?

KiCad saves libraries wherever you tell it to. Are you asking us how to find a file on your computer?

Edit: anyway this problem has nothing to do with libraries, to add a bitmap to the title block, you use the page layout editor. No libraries are involved.

Perfect! I found the sheet already squared with the logo inserted in the cartouche, I had created an empty one to always use. I do not know how I did, however, because trying now with the page layout editor does not save it in my folder, says it’s impossible …

Ok, the problem of the logo in the cartouche I solved it, thanks to your suggestions. In the search, however (wrong) I looked for the new logo just created in my library (in PCB) named IMPRONTE, but I do not find it: using “insert footprint” shows me a long list of libraries, and there is also mine, but inside there is not the new logo, so the path is not the right one (there are all the imprints created by the old components and logos, but not the new one) and I’m wrong bookstore. Where do I find all Kicad libraries, then?

the OS is Windows10 64bit (first was Win7 64bit, however), doing the operation you say I do not see my IMPRONTE library but only a limited series, there are not even any libraries that appear to me if I want to assign a footprint to a component in EESCHEMA

Ok, look, that’s right, I found all the way, thanks
