Inability to Change Track and Via Width in Bulk Editing Mode: Filter Settings Malfunction

I am attempting to bulk modify the width of multiple traces on my circuit board by navigating to Edit → Edit Track & Via Properties. My goal is to increase the width of a collection of traces. To do this, I enabled the “Filter Tracks by Width” option and entered the current width value in the adjacent input field.

I applied the filter specifically to the Top Layer and kept the Set to specified values radio button active. However, when I attempt to adjust the track width through the drop-down menu, which currently reads –leave unchanged–, I am unable to input a new desired track width. The system remains fixed on the leave unchanged option.

This issue extends to vias as well, though I was not actively trying to adjust their sizes. Both the track and via width input fields refuse to accept new values, leaving me puzzled as to what I might be doing wrong in this bulk editing process.

Welcome to the forum,

You need to set up some track widths.

Go to File > Board Setup > Design Rules > Pre-defined Sizes. Use the + sign at the bottom of each column to create all the sizes you wish. Same with Vias.
When you then try to change the track width, all your entered sizes in the Board Set-up will appear in the Track Width list for editing your board.

The list will also appear in the “Track: use net class width” box in the top left of your PCB layout screen if you click on the triangle. Take note of the message supplied under the U with the blue dot beside this box . This can be a very useful function also.
