Importing footprint from easyeda

Hi in Kicad 8.0.8,
what is the best way to import a footprint from LCSC (or JLCPCB).
I can get the footprint to show in easyEDA pro online version. But After what I’m supposed to do ?

Right now, I’ve succeeded (but it seems complicated), by cerating a new project in EasyEDA. Then searching the LCSC code in the library tab, then putting the part on the schemtatic.
Then I’ve saved the project as local.
Then I’ve imported the porject in kicad (file->import), finally in the footprint editor I’ve been able to open the easyeda footprint, to save it in one of my library.

But is there an easier way ?

I’ll give you the standard answer before many others give you the same . . . create a custom/personal library and create your own footprints.

For simple footprints it’s probably quicker than messing around changing between systems/formats to get something into KiCad that you then have to check to confirm that it’s correct.

For complex footprints, well who are you prepared to trust ? I trust my own eyes so I would rather create it myself and be sure.

If you have an easyeda library, you can directly add the library to KiCad. But apart from that, it’s still a two step process. First extract that online data, and then add it to KiCad. The only way to do it with less effort from your side is if you pay someone else to do it for you.
